Daybreakers

Today, my hubby and I watched Daybreakers, a movie about vampires which is starred by Ethan Hawke as Edward Dalton a Hematologist of Bromley Marks- biggest supplier of blood for vampires. This movie is set on year 2017 where human beings are near to extinction and the world is run by vampires. As the human beings near to extinction, fresh blood for vampires is also at stake. Now Edward as Hematologist and vampire as well along with other Hematologist are tasked to find a solution to solve the depleting supply of blood.

On the way to his home, Edward meets Audrey (Claudia Karwan) when he accidentally hit their car. Edward saved Audrey’s life along with the three human beings when a vampire patrol car rushed to the accident site. The following day, Audrey showed up to Edward in his house and giving him a piece of paper and told him that she could help find a cure. Edward went to this location written on the paper and met Elvis (Willem Dafoe)- previously a vampire, now cured and human again. With their helped Edward found a cure – a medical breakthrough but vampires are becoming rage looking for fresh blood. What will Edward do now that he has found a cure? Hmmp… I suggest you watch this movie. This is a nice movie about vampires and what is interesting the cure – turning vampire back to become a normal human being.

I rate this movie 8/10.

THE BLIND SIDE

This movie must be watched, I highly recommend this film. The Blind Side is among the Top 10 Box Office of the Year and among the Highest Grossing film of the year. Not only that The blind side book written by Michael Lewis is currently No# 1 Top New York Times best selling book.

This is a true to life story of NFL Football Player Michael Jerome Oher. Michael is an African-American homeless boy who was adopted and welcomed by Sean Tuohys (Tim McGraw) and Leigh Anne Tuohys (Sandra Bullock) to their home and family. In the movie, Sandra Bullock has excellently portrayed her role as a foster mother of Michael. She’s really so great and versatile actress!

I rate this movie 8/10 because you will really learn a lot from this movie. How a homeless boy with the help of his foster White American parents achieves what he become now. Not only that, Michael also brought new experiences and new learning to the Tuohys' family.

Couples Retreat

This is a comedy film about four couples that are actually close with each other and together they went off for holiday at Eden Resort.

The couple Jason (Jason Bateman) and Cynthia (Kristen Bell) is struggling with their marriage because Cynthia is not pregnant yet. In order to save their marriage they planned out to go off for vacation in Eden Resort. But going there is a bit expensive so the couple convinced the three other couples (Dave (Vince Vaughn) and Ronnie (Malin Akerman), Joey (Jon Favreau) and Lucy (Kristen Davis), and Shane (Faizon Love) and his girlfriend Trudy (Kali Hawk) through showing them PowerPoint presentation about the resort. The other three couples agreed to accompany Jason and Cynthia.

The interesting part of this movie was when they reached the resort and discovered that the package they signed in required the couples to participate in marriage therapy program of which the three couples did not want to participate. As the story went on, the four couples had no choice but to participate in the program where each couple’s relationship was tested and challenged.

I would rate this movie 7/10 for values I have learned as a married person.

WHITEOUT

I have been chasing this movie since last October because Kate Beckinsale the lead star of Underworld movie (which is one of my favorite movie) is also the lead star of Whiteout.

This story sets in Antartica, the coldest part of this world where U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckinsale) is assigned at Amundsen-Scott Base a U.S. Scientific Research Facility. Days before the Antartic heavy winter begins and where all personnel must leave the area or else they will be stucked there for six months until the weather condition went back to normal, Stetko found a dead body on the Antartic ice and believed to be a homicide case. U.N. operative Robert Pryce (Gabriel Marcht) crosses path with Stetko as he is also sent to further investigate this case since this is the first homicide case in Antartica. Stetko interest to solve the case has put her to a life-threatening situation and shocking discovery will put her to test as only a matter of time where total whiteout will come.

As expected, Kate showed her action moves with her great body. But If I am going to rate this movie where 10 is the highest and 1 is the lowest, I would rate 5/10. Just fair rating for my fave Kate Beckinsale.

Project:365 Movies Watched

Yesterday, I was chatting with my closest friend. She asked me if she mentioned to me about their new dog pet named "ten-ten" and I said "No, not yet". Then she gave me a link of her blog for me to see ten-ten's picture. So I clicked the link and was able to view their new pet, so cute little puppy. One thing caught my attention was that my closest friend yammie, actually uploaded this picture in her Project: 365 What's in a day? blog (http://365.pinkroma.com/. She started this blog just this year, taking pictures everyday that fascinates her. I find it really interesting so this is why I am making my own blog about movies since I always watched movies with my hubby before going to bed.

I keep my finger's cross for this project. Hoping that I will be able to share to you the movies I have watched and will watch.
